To all my friends in the U.S., facebook and otherwise

Some call tomorrow the Fourth of July, others are adamant that it is Independence Day and the 4th is just a day on the calendar…

I say stop that divisiveness!

Without the calendar, we would not know when to celebrate the most heralded document in our history.

We, less than 3 million strong, took a stand against a world power – and won.

We won even though we did not have a draft, a disciplined force, and had only 20% of the population actually fight against the British.

We won even though we did not have a Treasury for the yet formed nation of the united States of America and the 13 States had to fund the war (small case ‘ u ‘ is intentional as they had not decided on our nation’s name until our Constitution was drafted).

We won even though the 13 States did not fund the war very well which left many of our men without shoes and proper clothing in the dead of winter – the focus of the States shifted and they bickered back and forth on how our leader George Washington should be fighting the war instead of supporting him while he was fighting the war.

We won as many of our men, under the leadership of George Washington, were reminded that character was not to be abandoned even during a time of war, and not even our God nor His son were to be used in vain.

Many will say we won because God was looking out after George Washington – even the American Indians said there was a force protecting him after seeing him survive a hail of bullets without so much as a scratch (his treasured coat did, however, did not fare that well).

However, I firmly believe we won because we were the first, as a nation to be formed, declared our independence through the powers of Providence – and we thanked Him by forming a nation because we loved God first and our nation next, as evidenced in the first 228 words of our Declaration of Independence…

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Only one other nation in all of man’s existence has been formed out of love and that was formed by God’s love for His people – Israel.

And no other nation in all of man’s existence has ever been formed due to our love for God — this has blessed us immensely…

For a while, that is…

During the 1960’s we allowed the Bible, prayer, and God to be removed from our schools — and we have allowed the Left and atheists to ever-so-slowly disavow God where He had once been invited, and we have allowed them to declare their own gods as they see fit.

God does not interfere with our will as He wants us to honor His will voluntarily — and even more so with our hearts and our lives.

We need to remember and honor the efforts and blood shed for us by those who dared to leave England of the Colonies of the united States.Nearly all

Nearly all 56 signers lost everything they had, including their families, their wealth – but not their integrity, humility, honor (see the first comment below, a commentary on what the the 56 signers endured after July 4th, 1776 – provided by Retired General Paul Vallely).

We need to remember so we can enjoy even more the blessings of our families, our barbecues, our sports, our favorite beverage while being void of a tyrannical government — or ideology — telling us what we can and cannot do.

Or…

We can permit the Left, Islam, and atheists to ever-so-slowly disavow God where He had been invited. declaring their gods as they see fit and forcing others to obey their gods.

There is no fence sitting with this one as some of our colonists did with our Founding Fathers as the Left, Islam, atheists are wanting God removed and replaced with their gods (or lack thereof) — and like the golden calf of Baal, we either worship what we are told or we remain firm like the Levi and  worship how God has instructed us.

So the question remains…

Will you be like the Levi and do as commanded?

Or…

Will you do as your fears dictate and honor gods created by man as Aaron did and disobey the one true God?

Our nation’s future is in our hands — and God will honor whatever we will.

We already have our instructions…

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” ~ Chronicles 7:14

To keep our nation, we only need to obey.

Liberty doesn’t rely on a few to protect it for themselves – it relies upon everyone protecting it for all.

We need to make a second Declaration of Independence from those within our ranks that otherwise could not care less of our liberties, our blessings, our freedoms — and they are making it clear they will not change their minds without creating a fight.

If it is a fight they want with their gods, then it is a fight they will get with our God.

“But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread; so the Egyptians came to dread the Israelites” ~ Exodus 1:12

To everyone, make it a safe, wonderful Fourth of July — and steer your conversations towards what has transpired in the last 241 years and start reclaiming not only what is truly ours, start reclaiming the blessings we have forfeited by allowing the lesser gods to be overcome by inviting our true God where He blongs.

  1. Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence?

    5 signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.

    12 had their homes ransacked and burned.

    2 lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had 2 sons captured.

    9 of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.

    They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

    What kind of men were they?

    24 were lawyers and jurists.

    11 were merchants, 9 were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well-educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.

    Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts and died in rags.

    Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

    Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.

    At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

    Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

    John Hart was driven from his wife’s bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished.

    So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July holiday and silently thank these patriots. It’s not much to ask for the price they paid.

    Remember: freedom is never free! We thank these early patriots, as well as those patriots now fighting to KEEP our freedom!

    I hope you will show your support by sending this to as many people as you can, please. It’s time we get the word out that patriotism is NOT a sin, and the Fourth of July has more MEANING to it than beer, fireworks, HOT DOGS, and picnics……
